WITHDRAWAL OF THE FRENCH TROOPS FROM CHINA.

The Herald's City Article says accounts from China, stated to have been received in the city, announced that the Emperor ot the French has concluded an anangement with the Chinese authoiities by which he accepts 2,000,000 dollars as an indemnity for the insult offeicd to the French flag, and will, therefore, withdraw his forces. This is doubted.

There is a rumoni abroad of the forthcoming matrimonial alliance of the heir-apparent of the British Throne with a Princess of Prussia. German newspapers, solemn always, and full of erudition, inform us that all the particulars of this union have long been determined on— arranged, in fact, at the time of the nuptials of our Piincess Royal with young Fredeiic Wilhemn of Piussia.
