THE GREAT EASTERN.

The Great Eastern, appointed to sail for America on the afternoon of June ICtli, did not leave, owing to the state of the Southampton Wateis, until the morningof Sunday, June 17th. The weather was thick and stormy, but she passed through the Needles, and by the evening she was in sight of Plymouth. Paddles and screw going, but no canvass set.

She carried only foi ty passengers. She is bound for New York. The commandeis of several home-ward-bound ships report having sighted her. The captain of the Ascension, which has arrived at Falmouth from Havannah, states that he passed the great ship at 10 a.m. on the 13th June, in latitude 49-30 N., longitude 8-4 W.
