THE CHURCHES.

TO-MORROW’S SERVICES. Anglican services in the parish of Temuka and Winchester will be conducted to-morrow as follows:— St. Peter’s, 11 a.m., 7 p.m.; St. John’s, 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 7 p.m.; Holy Trinity, 6.30 p.m.; Orton, 3 p.m. At the Presbyterian Church, Temuka, to-morrow, Christmas services will be held both forenoon and evening, at which special hymns, anthems, and addresses will be given. The Rev. H. R. Fell will be the preacher. The services at the Methodist Church, Temuka, to-morrow, will be conducted by the Rev. A. Blakemore. This being Christmas Sunday, the well-known Christmas hymns will be sung and the addresses will have special reference to the great and wonderful massage of Christmas. In the evening, a carol service will be held. An invitation is extended to residents and visitors to join in the worship of Christ “the new-born King.” On Christmas morning a service will be held in the Methodist Church at 9.15, and to this service also, a cordial invitation is extended to all. The Geraldine Salvation Army Corps will hold their usual services to-morrow. On Monday the Young People’s wind-up social will take place, and on Wednesday a Christmas service will be held, to which everyone is heartily welcomed. The services at the Salvation Army Hall, Temuka, to-morrow, will be conducted by Adjutant Sherson and Lieutenant Smith. In the afternoon, at 2.30, there will be Sunday School, in addition to the usual morning, forenoon, and evening services.

The Temuka Mission will hold usual services to-morrow, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday School will be held as usual at 2.30 p.m. The services are purely undenominational, and all are heartily welcome.
