GERALDINE STOCK SALE, A DROP IN. PRICES. There, Was a moderate yarding of sheep at the above sale yesterday; Fat lambs suffered a 'drop in value of about 9d, but store values kept up. There was a fair number of lambs passed in. The atteiidaac'e of farmers was not large, no doubt due -to harvesting operations being in full blast. Ryegrass is quoted' at perrenial 2/9, Western Wolths 1/6. Clovers arc,in steady demand, cowgrass being quoted at 8d red clover Sd, white clover 9d, and cocksfoot is worth up to .GJd. Potatoes are wanted for Auckland and up to £3 on - trucks is offered. At this price a fair quantity is changing hands locally.
