TEMUKA v. FAIRVIEW

A DRAWN GAME

Temuka met Fairview on Saturday at the oval, and by a coincidence both teams compiled 128 runs, the match resulting in a draw. Temuka batted first, the batsmen to reach double figures being Coventry 43, Edwards 37, and Williams 25. The most successful trundlers were W. McNamara 5 wickets for 24, and Rodgers 3 for 17. Five wielders of the willow made a * good stand at the wickets for Fairview, viz., Squires 34, Roper 28 not out, Aitcheson 29, C. Rodgers 14, and A. McNamara a baker’s dozen.
