HOCKEY.
A general meeting of members of the Hockey Club was held on Tuesday evening -in Mr F. Smith’s rooms, a full attendance being recorded, The president, Mr Furn. Smith, occupied the chair. Two nominations were received for club and vice-captain, and a ballot resulted: I. Schrader club captain, G. Lawry vice-captain. -
The selection committee was elected as follows:—-Captain, vicecaptain and Mr F. Smith. After some discussion it was decided to carry on with the two teams for the coming competition. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr F. Smith for his donation to the club.
The following teani will represent Temuka v. Geraldine ; to-day:—For-wards: K. Blyth, J. Ward, G. Lawry, E, Lawry, P. Listen; half-backs: G. Simcs, G. Moulton, H| .Washington; backs: W. Searle, J. Schrader; goai keeper, A. Blackmore. Emergencies, N. McGarva and N. Freddy.
