GERALDINE STOCK SALE. The fortnightly stock sale at Ger,. aldine took place yesterday. The following were among the sales made. Sheep.—Wether at 21s Gd, 142 ewes and lambs (all counted) at 10s 3d, 108 do. at 225, 54 do. at 9s Gd, 60 ewes at 28s Gd. 30 wethers at 22s 2d, 45 wethers at 19s Bd, 39 at !9s Bd. Cattle. —1 cow and calf L 7. pigs.—Weaners, 2 at 255, 2 at 21s, 1 at 19s, 1 at 15s, 1 pig 31s, 1 at 255, 1 at 225, 2 at 20s, 1 a: 27s Gd 2 at 275, 1 at 265, 1 at 255, 1 at 245, lat 23s 6d. Porkers--1 at 335, 3 at 30s. DAIRY PRODUCE. BANIt OF NEW ZEALAND’S REPORT. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advice from its London office, under date September-1;—• - - Butter. —The market is quiet but firm, at 206 s to 208 s per cwt. Cheese. —White, 86s to 88s; coloured, 83s to 84s per cwt. THE MEAT TRADE. The wether market has advanced, and the demand is good for the immediate future. The ewe market closed firmer. Lamb prices are unchanged, the market beingvflrm, with hii upward tendency; Beef prices are 'inclined to go a little higher. Quotations are; —Wethers, light Gd to 7 |d, heavy 5d to s|; owes, 4|d to s|d; ox, hinds 4Jd to 4|d, fores 23d to 3|d; cow, hinds 3|d to 4d, fores 2 Jd to 23d per 1b...
