WAR MEMORIAL UNVEILED.
AT ALBURY. There was a large gathering at Albury on Monday to take part in r he unveiling of a beau r .iful ornament erected in the centre of the township to the memory of the brave men—twenty in number—from the Albury district who laid down their lives in the Great War. On. the front face of the monument is inscribed: "In honoured memory of the men of Albury district who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 1918. For King and Country.” The names on the monument are :-—G. Gasweli. W. Casweli, J.' C.'alder. E. Dillon, V. Grills. C. In’iug. W. Lawton, J. Morrison. D. McVey. W. R. McVc.v, W. Maylen. A; Mclnness, T. Nelson. L. C. O'Neill, S. Vincent, E. O'Reilly, J. O’Reilly, W. Seyb, J. Trombatb. W. Walls. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Air T. D. Burnett. M.P., and addresses-, were given by Mr Burneti. Mr Tasman Smith, Rev. Stanley Hinson, and AH - (J. Talbot. The proceedings commenced and concluded with tin’ National Anthem. .
