CAPETOWN. Oct. r>. Messrs Dreyer and Joostc have resigned to create vacancies for Mr Botha, the Premier, and Mr Hill, the Treasurer, who were defeated at the electron. Parliament meets formally a few days prior to the Duke of Connaught's arrival. i WELLINGTON, lOct. 6. When theHous-e of Representatives met this afternoon, the Prime Minister. Sir J. G. Ward moved : "That this House heartily congratulates the South African Parliament upon the establishment of a National Government." _ I Mr Massoy seconded the motion, which was agreed to unanimously, and the resolution will be cabled (o Mr Fowlds at Albany, his next port of call. Tn the. Legislative Council this af ternoon. the Attorney-General moved a similar motion, which was carried.
