AUCKLAND, May s*. From Auckland. Mr Clement Wragge advises that an aftermath of 'he disturbance “Massey” which with its satellites caused the recent heavy blows on the coast, is coalescing with the advancing edge of the dlsturhr.uoe “Carroll,” and hence these interesting developments are causing much ram, with variable squalls complicated by very unsettled conditions for some time, especially as “Carroll is hackled up by “Buddo” in the rear. M nor Shipping are advised to use caution.
Mr C. H. Mason, Timaru, reports as follows The weather is now more settled and the rainfall during the next four weeks will probably be below the average in -South Canterbury. Koin, but not heavy, is probable locally about June Ist or 2nd. I may obtain data at any time which may modify or change mv opinion, in which .ease I will endeavour to report. Mr Bates telegraphed the follow big weather forecast yesterday : Molir.vte 'to strong northerly winds ; tides, moderate; sea moderate ; class, little movement, but fall slowly after 20 hours.
