TEMUKA DEBATING SOCIETY.
Tho Temuka Debating Society last evening discussed two articles on “The Labourers’ Union” and “By their gods ye shall know them.” The first was sympathetic with tho objects of the Union, and so were tho majority of tho speakers, while tho second dealt with the evolution ,of man’s ideas, culminating in tho god mammon. An interesting evening was spent, tho critics being Messrs Roberts, Sahnoud, Twomey, Motson sour., Motson jnnr., Sim, Lee, E. Williams, and Martin, a visitor from Auckland. Next issue wo intend to publish the article on the Union,
