CHRISTCHURCH STOCK MARKET.

At the Addington markets on Wednesday the following prices were realised Pat Cattle —159 were entered and met with good demand. Steers £6 15s to £ll,and £l3 for extra quality, heifers £6 to £lO, cows £5 5s to £8 ss, beef 26s to 28s 6d per 1001 b. Fat sheep—An average; yarding. Freezing sorts were eagerly, competed for, and brought good prices, but in other lines the market was easier. Freezing wethers 15s 6d to 19s 3d, ewes 13s Gd to IGs, butchers’ best ewes 12s to 14s, others from Ss to 11s. Pat Lambs.—About 1500 were penned, the quality on the whole showing an improvement. There was fair competition in all classes, at ratei scarcely differing from those ruling last. Freezers 12s 6d to 15s Bd, butchers’ 9s to 13s.

Pigs.—A medium entry. Baconcrs from 45s to 655, equal to 5d per lb porkers 32s to 425, equal to 5-kl to fid, stores 22s fid to 295, weaners 13s fid to 21s.

DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside markets on Wednesday the following business' was transacted : Cattle—At the Burnside market S(> head of cattle were yarded. Prices ruled about the same as last week. Best bullocks brought £9 to £ll 10s, medium £7 10s to £8 15s„ best cows and heifers, £5 15s t'o £7 2s (id, medium £5 to £5 7s 6d.

Sheep.—Of sheep 1893 were penned. Prices ruling Is lower. Best wethers brought 15s to 16s 9d, medium 13s to 14s 9d, best ewes 12s fid to 14s fid, medium 11s to 12s 3d. Of lambs 878 were penned. Prices were unchanged. Best brought 11s to 12s, medium 9s to 10s 9d, others 7s to Ss fid. Pigs.—Seventy pigs were penned, all sorts being in good demand. Suckers brought 14s to 17s, slips 18s to 20s, porkers 35s to 435, baconcrs 46s to 665.

DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS. Oats.—Business has been confined to feed lines for local consumption, _ and a fair inquiry for milling. Business by shippers is only possible hero at prices on a par with those in Cantorbjury. Quotations.—Prime raiding 2s 2d to to 2s 3*d, good to best feed 2s to 2s 2d, inferior and medium Is 9d to 2s sacks extra. Wheat—The market is quiet and quotations are practically nominal Medium is only in demand as fowl wheat, and during the week has received some attention from shippers.
