ACCIDENTAL POISONING AT TEMUKA.

A narrow escape from serious results through accidental poisoning occurred at Temuka on Saturday morning last, the victim being an elderly mait named Jas-Pa.™ jof Messrs Pago, and Hoare, brickmakers. For some time Mr Page who resides at me house of his business partner, Mr Hoar, has been under treatment to Dr. Warrom for an illness, but last week he had recovered sufficiently to return to his work. On Friday night, however, he complained of feeling stiff, and after retiring to rest a bottle of liniment with which to rub himself in the morning was placed at the bedside along with a bottle of medicine he was accustomed to take first thing upon wailing. On Saturday morning Mr Page, forgetting that there were two bottles reached out his hand, and caught hold oi the l'ni ment, and of this he took a dose Immediately upon the mistake •benv. discovered, Mr Hoar was summonsed, and a messenger was despatched for Dr Warren, who was quickly on the scene, and who by administering antidotes was ab,e to soon pronounce the sutferer to be out of danger.
