TIMARU HORSE MARKET. The Canterbury Farmers’ 00-operotive Association, Limited (per Mr J. Muudell, auctioneer), report on the horse and cattle market at Tattersall’a yards on Saturday as follows: The entry comprised 25 draught, light harness, and hackney horses. Owing to heavy rain in the early part of the day, the yarding and attendance was smaller than usual, and very few horses changed hands. There, is a strong demand for really good young draughts, or upstanding light harness sorts. Vendors wishing to sell stock of this description will find a good market at TattersalTs. PRODUCE SALE, The Farmers’ Exchange Company report on their last Saturday’s sale at Timaru as follows: Poultry.—There ..was a .large entry of geese, 116 being penned, the prices realised ranging from 2s to 3s each. Roosteis brought 3s 6d per pair, TJ pair ss, 5 pairs 2s 3d per pair ; hens from 2s 3d to 2a 6d ; chickens, Is 3d per pair ; ducklings from 2s to 3s 9d per pair; turkey gobblers, 9s 6d to 10s ; doves, 6s per pair. Pigs brought from 5s to 14s; butter, 63d 3 eggs 6d, and bacon 6d to 8d per lb. Sundries met a good sale. MONETARY AND COMMERCIAL. London, Deo. 20. The Gothic’s shipment of butter arrived in good condition.
