At the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court, J. Knhtze, brewer, was fined £5 on each of two charges of failing to keep books showing the quantity of of beer sold and removed from the brewery. Two informations charging him with selling and removing bser from the brewery in kega not having proper stamps affixed were dismissed. At Auckland, in the caso of Jane Deruse v. Anthony Doruse for separation order, defendant stated that complainant was his step-daughter. His Worship stated in that case defendant w r as not complainant’s husband. Mr Burton asked his Worship to allow the point to stand over until next morning, which his Worship consented to do. Having Great Run on Chamueblaain’s Couoh Remedy.
