After the parade on Wednesday night a general meeting of the newly-fomed Me a-is Tube Club iu connection with thh Te- -uka Rifle Volunteers was held in the Drill Shed. About twenty-five members were present. Sergeant Sim was voted to the chair in the unavoidable absence of Captain Richardson. The rules of tha club drawn up by the committee ware submitted to the members, and were, after slight alterations, agreed to. The election of officers and committee then took place and resulted as follows-President Captain Richardson; vice-presidents, Captains Cutten and Findlay, Lieutenants Whitehead and Campbell, and Sergeant Leven s; hou. secretary and treasurer, Corporal Minifie; committee, Sergeants Sim and Pye, Corporals Edwards and Fyffe, and Private MeCallum. Great enthusiam waa shows at the meeting, and judging from appearances the club has a successful future before it. The objects of the club are to provide amusement for, and to improve the shooting of, its members. The opening match will probably take place early next month.
