GERALDINE TOWN BOARD.

The above board met on Tuesday evening. Present Messrs A, White (chairman), R. Taylor, J. Williams, R. Y. Ferguson, and W. S. Maslin, M.H.R, CORRESPONDENCE, Correspondence was dealt with as under: — From Mr T. Maloney, stating that ho would make an asphalt footpath in front of his house on the main street provided the board would pay half cost.—Request granted, if footpath is formed 4ft 6in, with kerb. From Messrs Taylor and Mundell, enclosing account for board’s share in asphalting and kerbing.—Passed for payment. Clerk to write to Temuka board asking price they pay for kerbing. From Geraldine County Council, stating that the board’s half-yearly contribution to Charitable Aid Board, £6 0s 5d was due. —Passed for payment. From the Treasury, Wellington, sending remittance of £1 12s for sundry collections in stamps, etc. From Messrs W. G. Sherratt & Co., enclosing account for balance, 25 per cent, due on contract for asphalt crossings.—Passed for payment. REPORTS. The overseer’s report on works done was read; also a report from the town scavenger. Resolved —“ That the overseer at once Collect ftll outstanding scavenging fees.” m- SAMI. The pay-sheet, amounting to£sßl6s2d, was passed for payment. POO COLLARS. That the W ual number of dog collars be ordered.’’ DOG REGISTRAR, Mr 0. E. Sherratt was appointed registrar of dogs for the year 1894. The meeting then closed.
