AUSTRALIAN FLOODS.
Sydney, March 6. Great damage has been done in Bourel (80 miles south of Sydney) and the Mossvale district (86 miles south of Sydney) by the floods. Ten inches of rain fell in eight hours. Heavy floods have been experienced all aloug the southern coast. Eight bridges have been washed away in the Bega district, 225 miles south-west of Sydney. London, March 6. The Queensland fund amounts to £7OOO, and not much more is expected. The Queensland fund at Christchurch amounts to £1349. By the Wakatipu £530 worth of produce etc., was sent to Brisbane. The lists close on Saturday. The Queensland floods relief fund at Dunedin on Monday amounted to £1294. The mayor has been asked to telegraph and inquire whether money or goods should be sent.
