DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS.

The following is the report for the week ending "Wednesday :

Wheat Wheat has good inquiry. Prime milling at 3s lOd ; medium, 3s 3d to 3s Gd; fowls’ wheat, good whole, 3s ; medium and broken, 2s to 2s 9d. Barley is in fair demand if good bright. Malting at from 3s 6d to 4s; medium, 2s 8d to 3s 3d ; milling wanted at from 2s 9d to 3s 3d ; feed, 2s to 2s 3d. Oats —• Good inquiry for all sorts. Prime milling, Is 8d to Is 9d ; good to medium feed, Is 7d to Is 8d ; inferior, Is sd; all sacks extra, oft' trucks. Oats have a tendency upwards, as arrivals are short, especially for good feed and milling sorts.

Prime Nelson bops, Is. Linseed—£ll to £l3 (wanted). Potatoes—Glutted, 30s to 32s Gd. Carx’ots—2ss per ton, sacks extra. Onions—£4, best Canterbury. Pigs—ln good demand, 150 s to 100 s well killed, not too fat, 3;Jd; hams, 8d ; bacon, sid to Gd. Chaff— The market fairly supplied during the week, and has freely sold at from 35s to 45s ; tip-top is worth from 45s to 555.

Turnips—l6s to 17s Gd. Straw—Oaten and wheaten, 30s to 35s per ton. Clover and ryegrass hay, £3 os to £3 10s. Hay, oaten, £3.

Batter—-Fresh, best, Od ; salt, in good demand; all good parcels to hand sold at 10id, packages extra; all parcels if good are easily placed at lOid to lid; factorymade, Is 2d to Is 3d, packages in. Eggs More plentiful and moving downward. Lard—4£d. Honey—4l d to 5d for best extx’acted. Beeswax—ls per lb. Cheese—Factory, 5Jd to sgd; loaves, £d more; best Akaroa, 4Jd to 4£d; medium, 3f d to 4d ; loaves, id more. Grass Seeds—Ryegrass, farmers’, Is 9d to 2s Gd; machined, 3s 3d to 3s 9d; Italian, 3s 9d to 4s Gd; cocksfoot, 3£d to 4RI.

Sheepskins—At auction on Tuesday best green crossbreds brought 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; medium, 3s to 3s 8d ; inferior, 2s Cd to 2s lOd; green merinos, 2s to 3s; dry country crossbreds, Is lOd to 4s; do merino, Is 9d to 3s; full-woolled crossbreds, 4s Gd to 7s; do merino, 3s 8d to 5s Gd; dry pelts, 3d to Is Gd.

DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Market on Wednesday the following business was transacted:—

Fat Cattle—23l head yarded, comprising all qualities. Values were considerably easier. Best bullocks brought up to £9 ; others, £5 to £7 10s ; heifers up to £7 10s ; others, £3 2s Gd to £5. Fat Sheep—ll 27 forward ; of these 110 were merino, the balance chiefly crossbred wethers of good to prime quality. In consequence of the short supply values ruling showed a decided advance on late quotations, one or two small pens of extra good quality wethers going as high as 21s to 22s 3d, while prime wethers sold up to 18s 3d, medium IGs to 17s, inferior 14s Gd to 15s. Fat lambs sold at from Ils 9d to 13s 3d.

Pigs—ls 4 were penned, representing all qualities, prices obtained being about on a par with last week ; suckers, 5s Gd to 10s ; slips, I3s Gd to 15s Gd ; stores, 18s to 20s; porkers, 22s Gd to 2Gs Od; baconer.q 30s to 48s, and a few extra up to G9s.

AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, June 8. Wheat, chick, 3s 4d to 3s Gd; New Zealand milling, 4s 7d to 4s 9d; local, 4s lOd. Oats, bright short feeding, 2s 5d to 8s Gd ; seed, 2a 7d to 2s Bd. Flour, stone--made, Til to Til ss; roller-made, £ll 10s to Tl2. Maine, 2s Bd, Barlpy, Cape, 3s sd. Bran, Js 2d ; pojlard, Is 34. Peas, blue Prussian, 3s 3d, nominal Potatoes, Now Zealand, T2 13s; Circular Heads, T 3 15s to T 4. Onions, the market is bare. New Zealand butter, dairy-made, Is Id to la 2d; factory-made, Is 3d to |s 4d; local dairy-made, Is 4d ; local factory-madg, |,s Gd. Cheese, 5d to Bd. June G. During the last month the imports have increased by £500,000, and the exports have decreased by £2,000,000. A cargo of Adelaide wheat has been sold at 34s Bd.
