IS WAR DEADLY.

“ Can anyone answer thatl It’s doubtful, very doubfol." War may not be healthy or conducive to longevity, especially for the front rank of the participants in the frolicsome pastime. We read in the big book how the reporters brought home records of hundreds of thousands slain in a single battle ; but now, with all our modern deadly weapons, smokeless powder and noiseless guns, we fall far short of the numbers slain in scriptural history days. We, however, make up for deficiency in this respect by i slaugterjng thousands and hundreds of thousands by living an artificial life.
