WESLEYAN CHURCH TEA MEETING.
A tea and public meeting to welcome the Rev. Mr Bunn and celebrate tbo anniversary of the Wesleyan Church in Temuka was held last night in the Te* inuka Volunteer Hall. At the tea, which was held at 6 p.tn., there was a large attendance. Four double tables, given by Mesdames E. Brown, J. V, Miles, T. Barr, and J. Lewis, were laid, and on these was a magnificent supply of’eatables. Three of the tables were catered for by Mr Barr, and the spread was one of the best we have seen in Tetnuka, and did infinite credit to the caterer. The tables were presided over by Mesdames E. Brown, J. W. Miles, T. Barr, and G. H. Lynch, and the Misses Brown (2) and Lewis (2) who were most assiduous in attention to their guests. After the good things had been disposed of, a public meeting was held, of which a full report will be given in our next.
