The foundation stone of the new Church of the Assumption was laid at Onehunga on Sunday afternoon, hia Grace Archbishop Redwood assisting at the ceremony, A large number gathered to hear the eloquent address by the Archbishop. While three men were removing a derrick on the north tiphead at Greymouth on Monday afternoon it was caught in a gust of wind and fell over. It knocked a young fellow named Allardyce into the water. The Northumberland arrived at Napier from Lyttelton on Monday night. She had 1000 tons original cargo, principally material for the Wairoa bridge, also 500 tons wheat for London and 500 tons coal.
