Parham, £37; R. Burnett, £3O 9s j T. MaGillicuddy, £l9 8a (accepted). No. B—Delivering 2000 willow stakes near Raincliff—Temuka Park Board, £2O ; M. Coombes, £2O; A: M. Patrick, £lB ; W. Hawke, £lB (accepted). No. 9 —Collecting and stackingsooyards boulders alongside main road—T. Pithie, £33 6s 8d; R. Burnett, £22 (accepted). CORRESPONDENCE. Correspondence was opened as follows : From the County Council, enclosing £B9 2s, their share of subsidy. From the National Mortgage and Agency Company,offeringthe land wa'nted by the Board for widening the cutting at £lO per acre.—Resolved to acsept offer, and have about two acres surveyed. From Mr Hamilton, of Clayton, asking to have North Opuha Bridge repairad.'— Clerk to reply that the Board are waiting the results of negotiations re South Opuha Bridge before proceeding. From Timaru Borough Council, re Hitch's road.- Clerk to communicate with Mr White. The Overseer wasiinstructed 'to bridge Tandro's creek ; plant the willows at once to protect Kakahu arjd Burke's Pass road, and to see to several tracks in the back country in adangerous state. overseer's report. The Overseer's report was then read, stating that No. 5 Contract, metalling and repairing the Boundary road, and No 6, metalling and shingling Main road in the Forest, are finished. The surface men have been repairing other parts of Main road and Brake's road. At rbe Back Cattle Valley and Kahahu,and Burke's Pass roads he had had a good'deal of metal quarried aDd put on, and put in thorough repair after the winter rains.—Reid's and Bracefield's roads have many slips to be removed and waterways cleared out. ACCOUNTS, Accounts to the amount of £149 13s 9d were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned till the third Friday in November.
