Lady Ashton ... ... 1 Bob Cooper ... ... 2 Stud ley, who lay third, was distanced. Australian Cup. Malun ... ... .... 1 Cerise and Blue , ... 2 First Prince ... .., 3 Nine horses started fop this event, Miilua winning by half a length, with a splendid finish. Time—4rain Jsec. March 4. For the Champion Stakes, to be run on Saturday—s (o 4 is offered on the field, Matchlock being the favorite, SypNsy, March 3. Fifty-five horses were entered tOriiight for the Sydney Cup, the principal event >u the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn meeting.
