SYDNEi MARKETS:. The Town and Country Journal, under date August 9th, 1884,’ reports on the local produce market as follows : Wheat—We notice by cable advices from Europe that the‘market shows a further decline in values, which will no doubt leave the shippers'from 'Adelaide and Victoria at a loss on their shipments up to the present, and future prospects do not appear bright in face of European crops generally,: without taking into consideration-the rAmerican crops, which, no doubt, as a whole, will yield largely on the aggregate. This market continues dull, with; very little doing during 'the past* weelr. Quotations may be taken as follows :—New South Wales wheat, 4s to 4s 4d ; Adelaide, 4s to 4s 4d ; Victorian, 4s to 4s 2d ;■ Tasmanian, 3s 9d to 4s ; New Zealand, 3s * fid to 3a 9d per bushel. ■ ■ Flour—This market continues dull, without much business transpiring. Inferior brands of country, Adelaida and Victorian are offering at very low rates, and large stocks on. band. A few special brands are obtaining our extreme quotations only, which are as follows :—New Booth Wales -flour, L 9 5s to LlO 15s ; Adelaide, L 9 to L 9 15s; Victorian, L 8 10s to LlO 10s ; Tasmanian, L 9 to L 9 10s ; New Zealand, L 8 to L 9 per ton; bran and pollard, Is Id to Is 2d per bushel. Farm Produce—Circular head potatoes, L 4 15s ; New Zealand do, LS 10s to L 4 ; Melbourne onions, Lll to Ll2; Victorian oaten chaff, L 4 15s to Lsss ; butter (in kegs), Is.fid per lb ; eggs, Is 5d to Is fid per dozen ; msize, 4s fid ; feed and seed oats, 2s 9d to 8s ; Cape barley, 3s to 3s 3d per bushel; cheese, fid to 8d per lb ; bacon, 7d to 9d ; bam, 10d to Is ; lard, fid toB-i; honey, fid ; beeswax, 10J per lb; colonial brooms, 7s fid to 8s fid per dozen' 1 ; New Zealand bran, Is Id; colonial and Adelaide, Is to la 2d ; pollard, Is 3d per bushel.

ENGLISH MARKETS. London,’ August 17. An Australian wheat cargo has been sold at a decrease of Is on last Bales, Business is slack. Granary wheat hag declined 2s. , August 19. The markets for colonial breadstuff's and tallow are without quotable change. At the wool sale to-day 11,600 bales were catalogued. The market continues firm.
