THE WAR IN THE SOUDAN.
Cairo, May 25.
The military staff in this country has, it has transpired, pr«pared plans for the expected autumn campaign in the Soudan, otherwise nothing of importance has occurred since the despatch of the last telegram.
Lowdok, May 26.
A strong rebel force is now in the vicinity of Shendy, and they have captured Debbah.
May 27.
Telegrams have been received from Souakim stating that messengers have arrived there from Berber, who report that the country northward of Khartoum is in a state of comparative tranquility, and that the rebellion is nowhere serioua except in the immediate neighborhood of Shendy. It is reported that Debbah has not been captured by the rebels.
