FOOTBALL.
Temcjka v. Geraldine and Winchester Clubs.
A match between the above clubs was played on Saturday l ist at Winchester, and resulted in a victory for the Temuka Club by live goals, eight touch downs, and any amount of force downs. Play commenced at I'3o p.m., and it was evident that the combined teams were greatly overmatched. They, however, played plucldly. The first goal for Temuka was kicked by Roberts.' Geraldine boys then made a rally, but were unsuccessful in getting a goal. Time was caled at 3‘30 p.m. The most noteworthy players were Roberts, Rayner, Donn, Johnston, Austin, and Taylor. For Geraldine, Bethnne, Fish, and Millard played well for their side. Messrs. Craig and Smith as umpires gave general satisfaction. The loams were captained by Roberta (Temuka), and Befhnue (Goraulino).
