FATALLY SCALDED
DEATH OF INFANT CHILD PAN OF BOILING WATER UPSET. SEVERE BURNS ON THE CHEST. ACCIDENT AT PUKEARUHE SOUTH. Burns received by Ronald Weeden, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Weeden, Pukearuhe South, proved fatal last night, when the child succumbed to its injuries at the New Plymouth public hospital. The accident happened on Wednesday at the home of the child’s parents. The child upset a saucepan, of boiling water and was severely scalded on the chest. He was brought to New Plymouth and it was found necessary to admit him to the hospital on Thursday. His condition grew worse and he died late last night. His age was one year and eight months.
