DAMAGES AWARDED
INJURY RECEIVED IN COLLISION. MOTOR-CYCLIST’S CASE SUCCEEDS. By Telegraph—Press Association, t Wellington, Last Night. A jury in the Supreme Court to-night awarded £1550 general damages and £132 13s 6d special damages to Roy Theodore Edser, hairdresser, Lower Hutt, in an action arising out of a motor collision in which he lost a foot, had seven ribs and his spine fractured and received a perforated lung. The case began yesterday morning. The defendants were Robert Kells, owner of the car with which Edser collided on a motor-cycle, and Violet Kells, his daughter, who drove the car. Edser claimed £2OOO general damages and £132 special damages.
