RAYNER V. JARVIS
FIGHT ARRANGED AT ELTHAM. LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE AT STAKE. Clarrie Rayner will fight Jack Jarvis at Eltham on November 22 for the New Zealand professional lightweight boxing title. Tire contest will be 15 3-minute rounds. The fight should be one of the best seen in Taranaki since the days of Donovan and it is anticipated that a record house for Eltham will greet the contestants. Inquiries were made for reserved ringside seats as soon as it was rumoured that negotiations were in train for the fight. Jarvis gained a decision over Rayner at Blenheim some time ago in a contest approved by the New Zealand Boxing Council for the title, which was then vacant. Rayner had another fight against Jarvis at Wellington a few weeks ago and gained the decision. The title, however, was not at stake in this contest.
