FORMER M.P. HURT
MR. BARTRAM INJURED IN STREET. STRUCK BY A MOTOR-CYCLE. — i By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Through being struck by a motorcycle while crossing Karangahape Road, Newton, this evening Mr. Frederick N. Bartram, aged 66, formerly member of Parliament for Grey Lynn, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is not serious.
The accident occurred when misty rain was falling. Mr. Bartram was crossing from the footpath to the safety zone when he was struck by a motqr-cycle and thrown heavily to the ground. The rider of the machine also was thrown but escaped injury.
