A cricket match between the Kaponga Thursday team and a team from Mahoe was played at Kaponga at the weekend Batting first, Mahoe scored 78, E. Burrows, 32, being the chief run-getter. Bowling for Kaponga K. Albon took three wickets for 23, R. Cuff three for 10 and V. Evans one for 12. Kaponga’s innings netted 124. Foster (retired) 36, Cuff (retired)' 29, Behl 24, and Newport 13 were the main scorers. Bowling for Mahoe Little took two for six, Newport two for 14 and Burrows one for 22. Mahoe in a second innings knocked up 37.
