Lyons, Prime Minister, stated that the Cabinet would soon take steps to deal with the Pacific shipping problem. “Freedom of trade in Australian and New Zealand ports while our ships are excluded from American coastal business cannot be allowed to continue ind- c nitely,” said Mr. Lyons. “The action to be taken by Australia and New Zealand will be determined after the managing director of the Union Steam Ship Comp""V (Mr. Falla) returns from abroad.”
