(Sent by Nancy Corbett.) “Where does that animal come from, keeper?” . “The kangaroo, mum, is a native of “Oh, my word, to think my poor sister married one of them!” Yells from the nursery brought the mother, who found baby gleefully pulling Bobbie’s curls. “Never mind, darling,” she comforted Bobby. “Baby doesn’t know how it hurts.” Half an hour later, wild shrieks from the baby made her run again to the nursery. “Why Bobbie,” she cried, “what is the the matter with baby?” “Nothing, mother,” said Bobbie calmly; “only now he knows.” (Sent by Aylwyn Andrews.)
