FAST TIMES OF H. OPPERMAN. FROM LAND’S END TO LONDON. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London; Sept. 3. The Australian cyclist, Hubert Opperman, in a sensational ride, cut exactly an hour off F. W. Southall’s Land’s End to London record, his time for the 291 J miles beinj 14 hours 8 minutes. Opperman then continued to Norfolk and established a 24 hours’ record of 466 miles, compared with Southall’s 454.
