HEALTH IN PACIFIC
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE. HELP FOR ISOLATED, PEOPLE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.40 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 3. The second international Pacific health conference was opened here to-day by the former Federal Minister of Health, Sir Charles Marr. He praised the work being done for the better health of isolated peoples in the Pacific zone, enabling them to maintain themselves in a state of freedom from bodily and mental dislocation wnich was so essential to discharge their functions. He also eulogised the health organisation, of thie League of Nations and added that the graveyards of the tropics were no longer graveyards.
