MAREO IN COURT
ALLEGED MURDER OF WIFE. REMAND TILL SEPTEMBER 11. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Sept. 3. There was a crowd at the Police Court to-day when Eric Mareo appeared on a charge that on April 15 he murdered his wife, Thelma Clarice Mareo. He walked into the dock carrying several sheets of music in one hand and his hat in the other. The police asked for a remand till September 11. Mareo’s solicitor 'offered no objection, and upon the magistrate granting a remand Mareo immediately left the dock and returned to the prisoners’ room.
