Jull, former president ofthe New Zealand’Counties’ Association, - , was expressed at tire meeting of the In- ■ glewood County Council yesterday, when • it was decided to place on record appreciation of Mr. Jull’s continuous occupancy of the position over a' period of 31 years. His ability, zeal, untiring efforts, sound advice and far-sighted statesman- - ship, together with his pleasing person- - ality, were undoubtedly responsible forthe great success achieved by . the asso- • ' ciation, a success -that was only possible through his efforts in. securing the cooperation and goodwill of ’all engaged in local body government. . * It was also decided to notify the president of the association that the council considered a photograph of Mr. Jull should be hung in every county council room in New Zealand as a mark of respect and as an inspiration to others. The chairman in reviewing ..the proceedings of the conference spoke in eulogistic terms of the work of Mr. Jull, . . whom he regarded as one of the most able men he had ever sat with,. Mr-Jull had done a tremendous amount of work in the interests of all counties in New ' Zealand,- and it was largely due to his sound counsel and wise guidance that the association had proved such a sue- : cess. It was pleasing to know that his . services were not to be lost to Ideal bodies as he had accepted the appoint- - ment of Parliamentary adviser to the association.
