SCHOOL SOCCER
NORTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT. PLAY TO COMMENCE TO-DAY. The annual inter-provincial tournament of the North Island Primary Schools Football Association will begin at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, this morning. Visiting teams from Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Wanganui, Wairarapa and Wellington arrived by the mail train last night. On their arrival the boys and those travelling with the teams were welcomed briefly by Mr. G. E. Roper and were then allotted .to their billets. The teams will assemble this morning in Pukekura Park for a civic welcome by the Mayor, Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour, the Hon. S. G. Smith, M.P., anq the Hon. James McLeod, M.L.C. The tournament will occupy to-day, to-mor-row and Thursday. The annual conference will be held to-night, and the trophies will be presented at a social on Thursday evening. The draw for the tournament is:— To-day:—Morning: Taranaki v. Wairarapa; Wanganui v. Manawatu. Afternoon: Hawkes Bay v. Wellington; Wairarapa v. Wanganui; Taranaki v. Manawatu. To-morrow: —Morning: Wanganui v. Hawkes Bay; Taranaki V. Wellington. Afternoon: Manawatu v. HawkOs Bay; Taranaki v. Wanganui; Wairarapa v. Wellington. Thursday:—Morning: Wellington v. Manawatu; Wairarapa v. Hawkes Bay. Afternoon: Wellington v. Wanganui; Taranaki v. Hawkes Bay; Wairarapa v. Manawatu. The teams are:— Hawkes Bay (Light and Dark Blue)— E. Hardgrave, M. Hartshorn, A.
