SENIOR SOCCER MATQHES THISTLE RETAINS LEADERSHIP. STRATFORD ONE POINT BEHIND. Duff Cup competition matches for senior Taranaki Association football teams were continued on Saturday. Thistle beat Moturoa by five goals to nil, Albion beat Hawera by one goal to nil and Stratford claimed a default win from Manaia. The Stratford team waited on the Stratford ground until 3.45 pm. but the Manaia team did not arrive.
