WALTERS UNABLE TO PLAY. E. R. T. HOLMES REPLACES HIM. British Wireless. Rugby, Aug. 15. C. F. Walters (Worcestershire), one of the selected English players for the final test against the South Africans, which begins at the Oval on Saturday, will be unable to play owing to an injured thumb. R. E. S. Wyatt (Warwickshire) and •W. E. Bowes (Yorkshire) also received injuries in the last fe.w days but both have been declared fit enough to play. E. R. T. Holmes (Surrey), who is to catain the M.C.C. team in New Zealand, has been selected in place of Walters.
