MORE WOOL TAKEN

INCREASED BRITISH IMPORTS. BOARD OF TRADE RETURNS. British Wireless. Rugby, Aug. 14. The Board of Trade returns for July show that the principal increases, in imports, compared with July last year, were: Grain and flour, £898,000; dairy produce, £306,000; fresh fruit and vegetables, £656,000; Other foods, £667,000; wool, £940,000; seeds, nuts, oils, etc., £448,000; oils and fats and manufactures thereof, £291,000. In exports the principal increases were: Coal, £270,000; wool, £249,000; machinery, £510,000; vehicles, £468,000. The principal decreases in imports were: Meat, £301,000;' beverages and cocoa preparations, £257,000; wood and timber, £783,000; raw cotton, £304,000; rubber, £348,000.
