BASKETBALL CLUB’S-SUCCESS. The Egmont Village' old girl's basketball team held an enjoyable euchre party and. dance -on Wednesday evening when there was a splendid/attendance including /patrons --born ' Hillsborough, New Plymouth, MaugoreLKent Road, Inglewood, Kaimiro,Albert- Road and Fitzroy. Nine tables were engaged for tile euchre tournament. Prize-win-ners were:. Miss I. Chard 1, Mrs? Carey and Mrs. Upson equal 2, Mr.E. Gyde 1, Mr. C? Ward. 2. Walsham presented Mr. C.’ C. Stapleton, with a wallet, in appreciation of his great interest in the game. Mr. Stapleton was selector for-the team; for the season and refereed on severplfbccasibns.
