ADDINGTON TROTTING ROI L’OR’S SUCCESS IN LAST EVENT TODD LONZIA IN TROTTERS’ RACE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. For the last day of the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s August meeting to-day the weather was fine till the seventh race, when slight rain fell. The attendance was good and the track was in good order. Totalisator investments were £26,061, against £24,817 last year. Tl}e total for the three days amounted to £72,552, compared with £72,269 last year. Results were:— MIDWINTER HANDICAP. Bessie Parrish and Writer were still the leaders turning for home, but Todd Lonzia finished strongly to win by three lengths from Raima, with Stanley T two lengths away. Great Way was fourth.
