CURIOSITY RESENTED

TOURING WORLD BY BICYCLE. MISS ROSSLYN VISITS HAWERA. A complaint regarding the ill-con-eealed curiosity with which she had been received by many New Zealanders was made to a News representative at Hawera yesterday by Miss Nita Rosslyn, who is touring the world by cycle. “I have been annoyed during my travels by being accosted by curious people who evidently think it their business to find out all about me,” stated Miss Rosslyii, adding that she naturally resented this form of inquisition, as she was merely touring by cycle in preference to using the train or motor-car. “Were I using a car I presume I would be frfee from such an annoyance,” she said, “and, in my opinion, my unusual method of transport confers on the public no shadow of right to annoy me by their curiosity.” Miss Rosslyn intends making a circular tour of Taranaki, proceeding as far south as Waverley and then returning to visit the' coastal towns in the direction of Opunake before returning to New Plymouth.
