FATAL HEAD INJURY
YOUTH KILLED AT CHRISTCHURCH. PILLION RIDER SERIOUSLY HURT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Otto Robert White, aged 17 years, a son of Mr. Otto C. White, a New Brighton hairdresser, was killed when a motorcycle he was riding in Pages Road this afternoon struck the rear of a carrier’s truck owned by Mr. E. L. Smith and driven by William Anderson Barclay. A pillion rider on the cycle, Francis Beardsley, aged 18 years, living at Lonsdael Street, New Brighton, was badly injured and was admitted to hospital. Mr. White suffered severe head injuries and died within a few minutes of the accident.
