JAGO—BELL. A wedding in which spring colour and flowers predominated was solemnised on Thursday, July 11, when Mary Gwendoline, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Bell, Wharehuia,' ifras married to Leonard Charles Jago, Timaru, younger son of Mrs. C. Jago, Wharehuia. The Rev. ; C. Haihyood, Stratford, was the officiating minister. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was gowned in ivory and: silver marocain, the effect of which relied on its picturesque simplicity. Her ivorytulle veil which cascaded in clinging folds over the gown was finished with a coronet of orange blossom which held ■the veil to her head.. The effect of the bride’s toilette was completed with a crystal necklace, the gift of the bridegroom. She carried a bouquet ,of June roses'and camellias, The bride was attended by the Misses Evelyn and Jean Bell as bridesmaids, who were frocked in eau de nil embossed georgette, made on, slimly fitted lines, an artistic effect being achieved by the carrying of bouquets of jonquils in shades of gold. The flowpr girls, Noeline Crockett and Connie Herbert, were attired in frocks of gold georgette and carried posies of jonquils. At St. Mary’s Church; Hawera, on June 26 Doreen Mabel, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. -G. L. Smith, Whareroa, was married to Dudley Jack, third son of the late Mr. D. B. Jordan and Mrs., Brunold, - Te -Roti. The Rev. Canon Malcolm performed the ceremony. INSULL—MOORE., X The wedding took place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Hastings, of Gwendoline Moore, only child of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Moore, Wairoa, and E. J. Insull, Napier, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Insull, New Plymouth. The Rev. D. J. Shaw was the minister. The bride, who was e-corted by her father, wore a jubilee blue rice crepe frock of ankle length, with boat-shaped neckline, short full sleeves, sash to the ground of deeper blue velvet, blue gloves and shoes and natural baku straw hat with blue velvet bow. Her bouquet was of pale pink tinted camellias, winter roses and freesias. The bridesmaid was Miss Vivian Harris, Wellington, who wore grey marocain with silver tinsel stripe, cut on long straight lines, with long sleeves and touches of pink velvet, and a pink velvet picture hat. Her .bouquet was of deep pink camellias, freezias and winter roses. Mr. Geoffrey Insull, brother of the I bridegroom, Palmerston North fi was best man. I A reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Q. C. A. Hyde. Mrs. Hyde wore cream georgette with cream velvet coat. Mrs. Moore wore black ring velvet and lace and a small black hat. Mrs. Insull’s dress was of beige and blue lace trimmed with beige fur. The bride travelled in a navy blue wool . dress with white fleck, a short cape of the same material, large white pique Peter Pan collar and navy accessories. Her home will be at Napier.
