NEW ZEALANDERS WITH BYRD. RETURN TO HOMES ARRANGED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 7.30 p.m. New York, July 13. The spokesman of the Byrd expedition announced that he had made arrangements to transport Melrose and Smoothy, the stranded New Zealanders, home on the Anglo-Canadian sailing for Dimedin on July 30. Meanwhile they would be provided with quarters at the Y.M.C.A. He said Admiral Byrd had no intention of leaving them stranded. Their difficulties were not known until they were read about in. the Press.
