If I could have a fairy wish, A happy child I’d be; For first I would be fairy-size, So beautiful and wee! On silver wings I’d gaily go O’er springtime fields of green, And then I’d hurry home again, To tell you what I’d seen. I’d visit with the little folk Who live in homes so small; The dormice and the squirrels grey, I’d go to see them all.
