DEAD DANGER TO HEALTH.
INTENTIONS OF GOVERNMENT.

As between 12,000 and 16,000 corpses and thousands of animal carcases are buried in the ruins qf Quetta, and in consequence of the danger to the health of the 18,000 residents, the Government has decided to salvage before March, 1936, only a few of the non-res’dential areas, for which a corps of 3000 is being recruited, Wider thoroughfares also will be cleared with a view to periodic experimental examinations. A total of 31,500 persons have been evacuated, leaving 12,000 Anglo-Indian troops, 3500 workers and 5<"00 refugees. Dead numbering 2500 have been recovered.
